NEXT, WE HAVE AN UPDATE REGARDING THE GIANT MINE REMEDIATION PROJECT.

CITY ADMINISTRATION DOES WORK CLOSELY WITH THE GIANT MINE REMEDIATION PROJECT TEAM.

WE HAVE REGULAR MEETINGS MONTHLY, BUT WE ALWAYS APPRECIATE THAT THE GMRP COMES TO COUNCIL ONCE A YEAR, TYPICALLY IN MARCH, TO BE ABLE TO PRESENT OVERALL ON THE ISSUES THAT IT IS DEALING WITH AND DEFINITELY ONES WHERE THE CITY OF YELLOWKNIFE HAS AN OVERALL INTEREST.

THERE ARE TOUGH ISSUES THAT WE DEAL WITH TIME AND TIME AGAIN, AND OF COURSE, IT'S REALLY GOOD TO HEAR FROM THE GMRP BECAUSE THE PARTNERS THAT WE HAVE AT BOTH THE FEDERAL AND THE TERRITORIAL LEVEL ARE WORKING TOWARDS MEETING INTERESTS THAT THEY HAVE IN THE PROJECT, THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT THEY HAVE, AND WE ALWAYS SEEK TO FIND AS MUCH ROOM FOR ALIGNMENT IN THE CITY'S ISSUES WITH THEIR INTERESTS AS POSSIBLE.

THIS IS AN ANNUAL UPDATE THAT WE PROVIDE TO CITY COUNCIL.

MY NAME IS NATALIE PLATO.

I AM THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR THE GIANT MINE REMEDIATION PROJECT.

WE ARE DOING OUR ANNUAL PUBLIC FORUM WEEK, SO WE WILL BE GOING OUT TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AS WELL ON WEDNESDAY EVENING AT THE EXPLORER.

SO IT IS A VERY SIMILAR UPDATE.

WE'VE CUT IT A LITTLE BIT SHORTER JUST BECAUSE WE KNOW WE HAVE LESS TIME HERE TODAY, BUT WE ARE HAPPY TO PRESENT.

SO OBVIOUSLY COUNCILLOR COCHRANE WORKS FOR PARSONS AND AARON BRAUMBERGER, AND JUST, YOU KNOW, WE HAD SOME MISUNDERSTANDING AS WHAT PARSONS' ROLE IS. PARSONS IS REALLY WE HAVE HIRED THEM, SO THEY ARE PART OF OUR TEAM AND THEY MANAGE OUR CONTRACTS FOR US, BASICALLY.

THEY DO NOT PERFORM ANY OF THE REMEDIATION WORK, BUT THEY ARE JUST OUR CONTRACT MANAGER IN A NUTSHELL, SO THEY DON'T PERFORM THE WORK.

SO THEY DO HAVE A SMALL AND TIGHT TEAM BUT A GOOD ONE, AND WE DO HAVE THEM OPENING AN OFFICE.

THEY OPENED AN OFFICE A FEW YEARS AGO RIGHT BY THE SUBWAY.

SO THEY DO HAVE A LOCAL PRESENCE AS WELL.

WE ARE DOWN A FEW MORE SLIDES, BUT WHERE WE ARE IN THE PROCESS, AS YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW, SOME OF YOU HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE, BUT THE REMEDIATION OF THE PROJECT, THE ACTUAL REMEDIATION PROPER STARTED IN 2001.

SO WE DO HAVE A SCHEDULE NOW THAT TAKES US TILL 2038.

WE DID REVAMP OUR SCHEDULE IN THE PAST YEAR, BUT SO WE ARE GOING INTO YEAR THREE OF THE REMEDIATION AND THIS JUST PROVIDES A BIT OF BACKGROUND OF WHAT THE USE ON THE SITE WAS PREVIOUSLY. OBVIOUSLY TRADITIONAL USE UP UNTIL 1948 WHEN THE MINE STARTED, THE MINE OPERATED UNTIL 2004, AND THEN IN 2005, CANADA TOOK RESPONSIBILITY WITH THE GNWT FOR REMEDIATING THE SITE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SITE, AND IT TOOK US 15 YEARS TO GET ALL OUR PERMITS LICENSES IN PLACE.

WE WENT THROUGH AN ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT DURING THAT TIME AS WELL.

SO IN 2020 WE WERE READY TO REMEDIATE THE SITE.

SO THAT'S WHERE WE ARE TODAY.

WE ARE IN REMEDIATION AND WE ANTICIPATE IT WILL TAKE TILL 2038.

I'M NOT SURE, GENEVA, IF YOU'RE ABLE TO CATCH UP WITH US, YOU'RE BACK A FEW SLIDES.

ACTUALLY, NO, I'VE JUST CAUGHT UP WITH YOU.

PERFECT. SO I THOUGHT I WOULD JUST GIVE AN OVERVIEW FROM THE NEW COUNCILORS.

THE ONES THAT HAVE BEEN AROUND HAVE PROBABLY SEEN THIS BEFORE.

SO ON SLIDE SEVEN IS THE ENGAGEMENT OVER THE YEARS.

THIS SLIDE IS JUST MORE TO POINT OUT THAT WE HAVE DONE EXTENSIVE ENGAGEMENT IN THOSE 15 YEARS, SPECIFICALLY BETWEEN WHEN THE SITE WAS ABANDONED UNTIL WE ACTUALLY BEGAN REMEDIATION IN 2020.

WE DID A LOT OF ENGAGEMENT.

SO EACH ONE OF THESE POINTS REPRESENTS MULTIPLE ENGAGEMENTS OVER THE YEAR.

I WON'T GET INTO IT IN A MATTER OF TIME, BUT WE HAVE DONE EXTENSIVE ENGAGEMENT.

WE WORK WITH THE CITY, AS MS. BASSI-KELLETT POINTED OUT, WE DO MEET WITH THEM MONTHLY.

THE CITY OF YELLOWKNIFE IS A SIGNATORY TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL AGREEMENT ON THE GIANT MINE REMEDIATION PROJECT.

SO ONE OF OUR KEY STAKEHOLDERS IN THE PROJECT AND WE WORK QUITE CLOSELY WITH THE CITY OF YELLOWKNIFE.

SO GOING TO THE NEXT SLIDE, SLIDE EIGHT FOR THOSE FOLLOWING ALONG, WHAT HAVE WE DONE ALREADY ON SITE? SO I'LL QUICKLY GO TO SLIDE NINE.

AS I SAID, 2005 TO 2020, WHILE WE WERE GETTING OUR PERMITS AND DOING MULTIPLE ENGAGEMENT WITH THE SITE WAS IN CARE MAINTENANCE.

IT WASN'T LIKE WE WALKED AWAY.

WE DO HAVE TO KEEP THE WATER PUMPED AND TREATED, ALSO MANAGED AS WELL.

SO WE KEEP THE RESIDENTS OF YELLOWKNIFE SAFE AND KEEP THE ENVIRONMENT SAFE AS WELL.

IN THAT TIME, WE ALSO, TOOK THE ROASTER DOWN.

THE ROASTER WAS THE ONE OF THE ORIGINAL SITE BUILDINGS; THAT WAS DECONSTRUCTED AS WELL AS BEGAN WITH OVER UNDER GROUND STABILIZATION WORKS.

SO IN THOSE 15 YEARS, AS WELL AS DOING ALL THE ENGAGEMENT, WE DID KEEP THE SITE UNDER CARE AND MAINTENANCE AND DID ADVANCE QUITE A BIT OF WORK, BUT NOW WE GET TO THE EXCITING PART AT LEAST FOR ME, AND REMEDIATION OVERVIEW.

SO ON SLIDE TEN, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE FOLLOWING ALONG.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED.

SO IN 2021, AS I SAID, 2021 AND 2022, WE STARTED THE REMEDIATION WORKS.

WE HAVE QUITE A COMPLEX SCHEDULE.

THE PROJECT IS QUITE COMPLEX.

SO THE ITEMS THAT WE'VE BEGUN AND I'VE GOT SOME PHOTOS IN A FEW MINUTES, I CAN GIVE YOU AN AREA OR AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT WE'VE DONE.

SO THE UNDERGROUND ARSENIC TRIOXIDE CHAMBERS ARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST AND KEY ELEMENTS IN OUR REMEDIAL ACTION PLAN.

SO WE KNOW, AS YOU KNOW, OR IF YOU DON'T, WE ARE PLANNING TO FREEZE THE ARSENIC TRIOXIDE.

SO BEGINNING TO DO THAT, WE ARE GOING TO DO THAT WITH THERMOSYPHONS, AND TO DO THAT, WE NEED TO GET DRILL RIGS IN.

SO TO DO THAT, WE NEED TO MAKE NICE PADS ABOVE THE CHAMBERS WHERE WE CAN ACTUALLY BRING DRILL RIGS IN AND INSTALL THE PIPES.

SO WE BEGAN WITH AREA ONE, WHICH IS ONE OF THE AREAS ON SITE DEVELOPING THE FREEZE PAD.

WE ALSO CONSTRUCTED WHAT WE CALL A NON-HAZARDOUS LANDFILL ON SITE.

IT IS DIFFERENT FROM A MUNICIPAL LANDFILL BECAUSE IT ONLY WILL ACCEPT SOLID WASTE.

THERE WILL BE NO DOMESTIC WASTE IN THAT.

SO THAT IS ONE OF OUR REQUIREMENTS ON SITE AS IT'S JUST BASICALLY FOR DEMOLITION DEBRIS, AND THEN THERE IS A SEPARATE CELL IN THERE AS WELL FOR THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT RESIDUALS.

WE ALSO CONTINUE BACKFILLING THE UNDERGROUND AND HAVE STARTED THE TOWNSITE DECONSTRUCTION , AND THEN COMING UP, WE HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO UNTIL 2038.

WE NEED TO DEVELOP, CREATE AND USE BORROW AREAS.

THE BUILDING OF A WATER TREATMENT PLANT, TAKE DOWN ALL OF THE BUILDINGS THAT YOU SEE, FILL PITS, COVER TAILINGS, RESTORE AND BAKER CREEK.

SO IT IS A VERY COMPLEX PROJECT.

SO I DID JUST GLANCE OVER THOSE, BUT I DO HAVE SOME PHOTOS COMING UP TO GIVE A BIT MORE DETAIL ON WHAT IS COMING.

SO FOR THOSE OF YOU FOLLOWING ALONG, I WILL GO TO SLIDE 11, WHICH SAYS 2021, AREA ONE FREEZE PAD.

SO THERE'S A LOT OF SPACES OR WHAT WE CALL VOIDS IN THE UNDERGROUND, AND WE'VE IDENTIFIED KEY AREAS THAT WE WANT TO BACKFILL AND WHY WE WANT TO BACKFILL IS WE DON'T WANT ALL THESE SPACES SORT OF LINGERING AROUND OVER TIME.

SO THAT WORK IS STILL PROGRESSING AND WE HAD A REALLY GOOD YEAR IN 2021-22 WHERE THAT CONTINUED, AND THEN THE LAST ITEM THAT WE WORKED ON LAST SUMMER WAS THE TOWNSITE DECONSTRUCTION.

SO WE DID DO THE REMEDIATION IN THE TOWNSITE BUILDINGS IN TERMS OF ANY HAZARDOUS MATERIALS HAVE ALL BEEN REMOVED FROM THE BUILDING.

SO THAT MEANS ANY MERCURY, BALLAST, ASBESTOS, THOSE HAVE ALL BEEN REMOVED FROM THE BUILDINGS.

SO THOSE ARE READY TO COME DOWN AS SOON AS OUR CONTRACTOR GETS INTO SITE, WHICH I THINK THEY PLAN TO MOBILIZE NEXT WEEK AND START PREPARING.

SO THE BUILDINGS WILL ACTUALLY COME DOWN THIS SUMMER.

WE WOULD LIKE THAT WORK TO BEGIN THIS THIS SPRING BECAUSE IT WILL TAKE IT'S ABOUT THREE YEARS FROM BEGINNING TO END ON THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT ON SITE, AND THAT IS ONE OF OUR KEY PIECES IN TERMS OF ADVANCING THE REMEDIATION, AND WE WANT TO GET THAT BUILT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE CURRENT WATER TREATMENT PLANT IS OLD, AND WE ALSO KNOW THAT WHEN WE BUILD THE NEW WATER TREATMENT PLANT, THE HE QUALITY OF THE WATER WILL BE GREATLY IN GREATLY IMPROVED FOR THE DISCHARGE AS WELL , AND BAKER CREEK WON'T HAPPEN UNTIL 2027.

WE'VE GOT VARIOUS OTHER THINGS, DEMOLITION AND DEBRIS YOU'LL SEE THERE STARTED LAST YEAR AND THEN VARIOUS OTHER ITEMS. SITE SERVICES AT THE BOTTOM IS JUST, YOU KNOW, SITE SECURITY, CARE AND MAINTENANCE.

THAT BUILDING I SHOWED YOU A FEW SLIDES AGO HAD TO COME DOWN BECAUSE THAT'S ACTUALLY WHERE THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT WILL GO IN TERMS OF CLEARING THE AREA AND WE EXPECT THIS YEAR WE NEED TO START WITH A LITTLE BIT OF GRADING OF THE AREA AND THEN WE WILL START CONSTRUCTING IT AND THEN COMMISSIONING IN 2025 SO THAT WE HOPE TO HAVE IT OPERATIONAL BY 2025.

THE MAP ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN SEE THAT SHOWS THE LOCATION OF THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT IN THE MAIN AREA OF SITE, AND THEN I GUESS THE PICTURE ON THE LEFT SHOWS OBVIOUSLY THE TOWNSITE AREA.

THERE WILL BE AN OUTFALL FROM THE WATER TREATMENT PLANT THAT DISCHARGES TO BACK BAY, GREAT SLAVE LAKE IN THAT AREA.

OH, YOU'RE ALREADY THERE. THE LARGER BUILDINGS ON SITE AND THE DEBRIS LOCATED ALL ON THE SITE WILL BE CLEANED UP OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS WILL BE REMOVED AND THE BUILDING MATERIALS WILL BE PLACED IN THE NON -HAZARDOUS ON SITE LANDFILL.

SO THE PHOTOS JUST SHOW SOME OF THE TYPICAL SITE INFRASTRUCTURE AS WELL AS SOME OF THE DEBRIS LOCATED ON SITE.

REMOVING CONTAMINATED SOILS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 2024 TO 2033.

GENERALLY, WE HAVE TO CLEAR THE AREA OF ANY DEBRIS OR BUILDINGS IN SOME CASES, AND THEN GENERALLY THE REMEDIATION IS EXCAVATE CONTAMINATED SOIL AND THEN BACKFILL WHERE WHERE WE NEED IT, SO THERE'S NO BIG HOLES OR GAPS WITH CLEAN BURROW.

SO THIS IS ONE OF OUR LARGER JOBS ON SITE THAT WILL TAKE, YOU KNOW, APPROXIMATELY 9 TO 10 YEARS TO COMPLETE.

SLIDE 24 IS THE UNDERGROUND FREEZE.

WE'RE PREPARING THE PADS NOW, AS I SAID, SO WE WILL START INSTALLING THE THERMOSIPHONS.

RIGHT NOW IT'S PLANNED FOR 2026 AND IT WILL TAKE A NUMBER OF YEARS AS WELL.

WE HAVE FOUR DIFFERENT AREAS ON SITE, SO WE NEED TO PREP ALL OF THOSE PADS.

AS I SHOWED YOU EARLIER, WE DID ONE OF THEM.

WE STILL HAVE THREE MORE TO GO, SO WE WILL BE DOING THOSE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS AND THEN WE'LL START INSTALLING THE THERMOSIPHONS IN 2026, AND IT'S ANTICIPATED RIGHT NOW IT WILL TAKE TO 2035 TO COMPLETE THAT TASK.

THERE ARE EIGHT PITS ON SITE.

SO ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, THE VERY RIGHT HAND SIDE, YOU CAN SEE THE ARTIST'S RENDITION OF WHAT THE PITS WILL LOOK LIKE ONCE REMEDIATION HAS TAKEN PLACE.

THE ONE ON THE LEFT IS OBVIOUSLY WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE NOW FROM AN AERIAL VIEW SHOWING THE LARGEST PIT, THE C1 PIT.

SO THAT WORK WILL TAKE PLACE STARTING IN 2027 AND WE ANTICIPATE IT WILL GO TILL 2034, AND AGAIN, AS

I MENTIONED, WE HAVE FOUR LARGE TAILINGS PONDS ON SITE.

WHAT WE PLAN TO DO IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT, YOU'LL SEE THERE'S A RED OR A YELLOW ONE.

ONE OF THE TAILINGS POND WILL BE RELOCATED TO THE POND RIGHT TO THE NORTH OF IT, INTO THE CENTRAL POND, AND ALL OF THE OTHER ONES WILL THEN BE GRADED AND COVERED WITH A MONOLITHIC ROCK COVER.

SO THAT WILL START IN 2026 AND GO UNTIL 2037, AND AS WELL, BAKER CREEK.

I'M NOT GOING TO GET INTO THE DETAILS NOW BECAUSE IT'S QUITE FAR OFF, BUT JUST FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE INTERESTED, BAKER CREEK IS ANOTHER KEY PIECE OF REMEDIATION WORK THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN, AND THAT WORK WON'T START UNTIL 2039 OR 2029 SORRY TO 2038.

THAT WILL BE ONE OF THE LATER PIECES WE WE WILL START ONLY BECAUSE OF THE SEQUENCING AND THE RUNOFF.

WE WANT TO GET THE OTHER AREAS CLEANED FIRST.

SO THEN WHEN WE GET TO BAKER CREEK, WE'LL START AT THE UPPER END AND THEN WORK OUR WAY TO THE BOTTOM.

SO THAT WILL BE ONE OF THE LAST PIECES RIGHT DOWN AT THE MOUTH OF, OF BAKER CREEK AND IN THE TOWNSITE AREA THAT WILL BE REMEDIATED.

SO CURRENTLY SCHEDULED IN 2038.

THE SHORELINE OF OF BACK BAY WILL HAVE SOME SIGNIFICANT WORK DONE AS WELL.

SO WE WILL BE PUTTING AN ENGINEERED COVER OVER THAT TAILINGS TO PREVENT IT FROM EROSION AND CONTACT TO AQUATIC LIFE AND ANY PEOPLE AS WELL.

AGAIN, ANOTHER PHOTO OR A PHOTO AND ARTIST'S RENDITION SHOWING YOU WHAT THE SHORELINE WILL LOOK LIKE WHEN WE'RE COMPLETED.

SO FROM NOW UNTIL 2028, IT WILL BE STATUS QUO, BUT THEN IN 2028, WHEN WE START TO REMEDIATE GREAT SLAVE SAILING CLUB, THAT GREAT SLAVE SAILING CLUB WILL HAVE TO VACATE THEIR AREA.

WE'LL DO THE REMEDIATION THERE AND IN 2030 IT WILL THEN OPEN AS THE PUBLIC BOAT LAUNCH AND IT WILL REMAIN THAT WAY UNTIL 2038 WHEN THE OTHER BOAT LAUNCH IS OPEN AND THEN THERE WILL BE TWO BOAT LAUNCHES AND WE'LL GO BACK TO LIKELY A SIMILAR SITUATION AS WE HAVE TODAY WITH THE AREA, THOUGH, MUCH IMPROVED IN TERMS OF ITS CONTAMINATION WILL BE GONE AND THERE WILL BE A NEW BOAT LAUNCH AT GREAT SLAVE SAILING CLUB AREA.

ONE IS BACK IN SEPTEMBER, AROUND SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER PROJECT SHARED [INAUDIBLE] ESTIMATES IN FULL TIME EQUIVALENCY WITH BOTH GROUPS AS WELL AS OTHER PARTNERS THAT REQUESTED THIS INFORMATION AND IT WAS INTENDED TO SUPPLEMENT THE WORK, THE UPCOMING WORK THAT NATALIE JUST WENT OVER AND THE OTHER ACTIVITY THAT WE'RE WORKING ON RIGHT NOW IS UPDATING OUR SOCIOECONOMIC STRATEGY, WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED IN 2019.

WE'RE DOING AN UPDATE UNTIL 2028, AND IT'S GOING TO GO PUBLIC IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR.

SO WE'RE WORKING ON DOING THAT UPDATE RIGHT NOW WITH BOTH OF THE COMMITTEES THAT I MENTIONED.

SO IN TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT, WHAT YOU SEE IN FRONT OF YOU IS TWO THINGS.

ONE IS OUR RESULTS, AND IN THE DARKER SHADED AREA, THAT'S OUR TARGET RANGE.

SO FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE PROJECT AND HOW WE DO OUR PROCUREMENT, WE HAVE TWO TOOLS THAT WE USE TO INCENTIVIZE EMPLOYING INDIGENOUS PERSONS AS WELL AS TRAINING AND SUBCONTRACTING FROM INDIGENOUS BUSINESSES, AND IT'S WHAT WE CALL THE INDIGENOUS OPPORTUNITY CONSIDERATIONS.

IT IS AN ELEMENT THAT'S INCLUDED IN EVERY SINGLE CONTRACT THAT PARSONS, THE MCM, PUTS OUT FOR TENDER, AND IT IS UP TO THE CONTRACTORS TO PROVIDE COMPETITIVE COMMITMENTS, AND IF THEY ARE, IF THEY DO SUCCEED IN MEETING THEM AND EXCEED THEM, THEY RECEIVE A FINANCIAL BONUS.

OTHERWISE THERE IS A FINANCIAL PENALTY THAT'S DEDUCTED.

SO THERE ARE THREE CATEGORIES I MENTIONED EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AND PROCUREMENT, AND I'LL BRIEFLY GO OVER THAT IN THE NEXT SLIDES, BUT THIS ONE SPECIFICALLY FOCUSES ON EMPLOYMENT ITSELF. TWO KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS YOU'LL SEE HERE IN FRONT OF YOU.

ONE IS INDIGENOUS EMPLOYMENT AND THE OTHER IS NORTHERN EMPLOYMENT.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT NORTHERN INDIGENOUS, WHICH IS GREATER MAJORITY OF OUR INDIGENOUS EMPLOYMENT, IS A COMPONENT OF THE NORTHERN EMPLOYMENT.

SO YOU CAN SEE HERE, SINCE WE STARTED TRACKING INDIGENOUS EMPLOYMENT, I BELIEVE THAT WAS 2013, WE AVERAGED AT 21% AND OUR TARGET RANGE IS BETWEEN 25 AND 35%, AND NORTHERN EMPLOYMENT, AGAIN, IT'S NORTHERN, NON-INDIGENOUS AND NORTHERN INDIGENOUS COMBINATION OF THE TWO IS AVERAGING AT 45% AND OUR TARGET RANGE IS BETWEEN 55 AND 70%.

IT'S ALSO IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE TARGET RANGES THAT YOU SEE HERE IN FRONT OF YOU, THE PROJECT DID NOT COME UP WITH THOSE TARGET RANGES ON ITS OWN.

THAT WAS A COLLABORATIVE PROCESS THAT'S TAKING REALLY SPENT OVER A YEAR PERIOD AND IT WAS DONE IN 2020 AND IMPLEMENTED AND WE STARTED REPORTING ON IT.

I BELIEVE THIS FISCAL YEAR IS GOING TO BE THE SECOND YEAR WE'RE GOING TO REPORT AGAINST IT.

MOVING ON TO THE NEXT SLIDE, PLEASE.

SO THE NEXT SLIDE FOCUSES ON TRAINING.

NORTHERN TRAINING ON SITE IS AVERAGED AT 78%.

THIS IS A COMBINATION OF MANDATORY TRAININGS SUCH AS WHMIS AND OTHER SECURITY TRAINING AND WATER SAFETY AND THINGS OF THAT MATTER, BUT IT ALSO IS GENERAL TRAINING AS WELL FOR TRAINING ON THE JOB AND SUCH, WHICH ARE THINGS THAT ARE PUT FORWARD BY THE CONTRACTORS.

THERE IS INDIGENOUS TRAINING IS ANOTHER KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR WHICH IS AVERAGED AT 52%.

UNLIKE THE EMPLOYMENT TARGETS THAT YOU SAW PREVIOUSLY, WE HAD PERCENT RANGES FOR TRAINING.

WE WERE ASKED BY OUR RIGHTS AND STAKEHOLDERS TO USE A MINE MODEL, WHICH IS A NUMBER OF PREMISES AND SCHOLARSHIPS ISSUED.

SO THE PROJECT CURRENTLY HAS ONE APPRENTICE ON SITE AND WE ARE AIMING TO SUPPORT AT LEAST ONE APPRENTICE, A MINIMUM OF ONE, ONE APPRENTICE THROUGHOUT THE LIFETIME OF THE PROJECT EACH YEAR.

SO WE ARE LOOKING AT 15 YEARS.

SO 15 APPRENTICES AT MINIMUM TO BE SUPPORTED.

THE OTHER IS A SCHOLARSHIP THAT'S ISSUED EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

WE HAVE SITE SECURITY, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES THAT ARE ALSO SIMILAR TO CARE MAINTENANCE ARE PROVIDED ALL THE TIME ON SITE, AND WE HAVE SURFACE WATER AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING THAT HAS TO HAPPEN AS WELL AND YOU CAN SEE HERE THE VALUE.

SO FOR EXAMPLE, USING THE UNDERGROUND CARE MAINTENANCE, THAT'S NOT AN ANNUAL VALUE DOLLAR AMOUNT, IT'S A RUNNING DOLLAR AMOUNT.

SO AS THE CONTRACT IS STILL LIVE, WE CONTINUE TO UPDATE THAT NUMBER.

ENVIRONMENTAL MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENT, THIS IS ANOTHER NEW THING THAT THE PROJECT IS DOING.

BUT I THINK OVERALL OUR STATISTICS SHOW THAT WE CURRENTLY HIRE ABOUT IN THE LAST THREE YEARS, 53% OF EMPLOYEES ARE FROM NORTH AND [INAUDIBLE] ARE FROM SOUTH.

IT RANGES BETWEEN 15 AND 35% FOR A CONTRACT, AGAIN, DEPENDING ON THE CAPACITY AND SUCH IN THE REGION, BUT THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE'VE DONE, AND ALSO THE REGIONAL PIECE AS WELL IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LIMIT THE CONTRACTS WITHIN THE AREA AND INCENTIVIZE INCREASING CAPACITY IN THE REGION.
